What we collect and why
Enquiry and quote forms
When you submit a quote or contact form we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode and the details of the work you describe. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit and prepare a quote. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Form submissions are delivered to us by email. We keep enquiry details for up to 2 years so we can refer back to earlier conversations if you come back to us, then delete them. If you become a customer, quote and job records are kept for 7 years to meet accounting and guarantee obligations.
Phone calls
If you call us we may note your name, number and enquiry details so we can call you back and prepare a quote. Calls are not recorded.
Server logs
Our web server records standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser type, timestamp) for security and fault diagnosis. Logs are retained for a short rolling period and are not used to identify visitors. The lawful basis is legitimate interests in keeping the website secure.
